چکیده
Over the past two decades, precast concrete members have been utilized in seismically resilient structures. In developing these structures, different techniques used for connecting to foundation. building construction, unbonded post-tensioning (PT) tendons can anchor a wall foundation, resulting so-called rocking system. The system develops dry connection with foundation and provides moment resistance by means of PT tendons. remain elastic when is subjected design-level ground motions preserve re-centering capability wall. Moreover, structural damage concentrated near toes be minimized proper detailing toes. Rocking systems consist Single Wall (SRW), which uses no supplemental damping, or walls damping form viscous hysteretic energy dissipating devices. addition dissipate seismic through their impacts on base, inherent hysteresis base. While investigation continues gain interest, there widely accepted modeling dynamic behavior. This paper investigates popular approaches without damping: finite element method analytical modeling. ability capture local global responses evaluated against shake table tests multiple-level intensity base motions. Next, behavior characteristics simulate impact are discussed.

Precast, Pretensioned, Post-Tensioned Concrete for Bridge Decks
The problem of concrete bridge deck deterioration on many of our newer as well as older bridges is severe, somewhat perplexing as to cause, and difficult to solve. Furthermore, the cost to highway agencies for their repair, and the cost of delay to the highway user, can be extremely large. The use of precast, prestressed concrete for bridge decks is a con cept of construction or reconstruction...
متن کاملUnbonded Post Tensioned Concrete in Fire: A Review of Data from Furnace Tests and Real Fires
The fire-safe design of concrete structures which incorporate post-tensioned prestressing tendons has recently been the subject of debate within the structural engineering community, particularly when unbonded post-tensioned (UPT) prestressing tendons are used. Despite several studies aimed at furthering our understanding of the response of UPT concrete structures in fire, many aspects of their...

متن کاملExperimental Study and Modeling of Reinforced Concrete Beams Strengthened by Post-Tensioned External Reinforcing Bars
The utilization of unbounded external reinforcing bars is one of the strengthening methods used after loading stage and before failure. The method has been used in different forms to strengthen members of reinforced concrete structures. To investigate the effect of utilization of post-tensioned reinforcing bars in this method of strengthening, a number of reinforced concrete beams was tested. S...
متن کاملHorizontal Post - Tensioned Connections for I ' Recast Concrete Load - Bearing Shear Wall Panels
Precast load-bearing shear wall panels are used extensively for high-rise construction because of the ease and speed of assembly, and the high quality of the precast panels. The connections between panels are extremely important since they affect both the speed of erection and the overall integrity of the structure. This paper presents the results of a research program conducted to investigate ...
